When I first started photography I wanted to be strictly a marine photographer. So this article was pretty awesome.
Here are the "rules."
1. Pick a Novice-Friendly Site : you don't want to be eaten.
2. Book With Pros : you want to find the sharks.
3. Shoot Near The Surface : sharks don't like flash, shoot without closer to the sun.
4. Use A Wide-Angle Lens : you don't want to cut the shark in half.
5. Keep Both Eyes Open : again, you don't want to be eaten.

I think marine photography is beautiful, I would absolutely proceed to have a panick attack and then a heart attack and die if I ever had to photography a shark.. or be underwater for lengthy periods of time! You should still pursue this though! You gotta do what you love! :)
The only sharks I want to photograph are the ones that are stuffed and mounted!
